Shibari Teacher

Yagami Ryu Licensed Instructor

As a Shibari teacher, my Yagami Ryu approach is rooted in a non-dogmatic philosophy, prioritizing precision, technical excellence, and the cultivation of deep connections and communication. My teaching incorporates my own research, where I explore innovative techniques within Shibari, building on the Yagami Ryu foundation to develop unique, specialized applications. I focus on creating efficient, movements that emphasize tension and flow, striving to bring a fresh, original perspective to the art.

As the owner of shibari.center in Sofia, Bulgaria, I lead courses, workshops, and private lessons for students at all levels—from beginners to advanced. With experience teaching couples, I tailor my approach to meet a wide range of interests and needs.
I also teach extensively across Western Europe, including Germany, Belgium, and Spain.

Yagami Ryu Licensed Instructor

As a licensed instructor in the Yagami Ryu style, I approach Shibari with a philosophy that is rooted in both tradition and innovation. My teaching style emphasizes precision, technical excellence, and most importantly, the cultivation of deep connections between partners. I believe that Shibari is not just about the technical aspects of tying, but about understanding and nurturing the communication that flows through each rope and knot. This non-dogmatic philosophy allows me to respect the core principles of Yagami Ryu while adapting them to the needs and personalities of my students.

Blending Tradition with Innovation

While Yagami Ryu serves as the foundation of my teaching, I continually explore and develop new techniques through my own research. I am fascinated by the ways that Shibari can evolve, and I experiment with innovative methods that bring out the art’s potential for creativity and expression. I focus on creating efficient movements that emphasize tension, flow, and intentionality, aiming to bring a fresh, original perspective to the art. By blending traditional Yagami Ryu principles with new ideas, I offer students a well-rounded understanding of Shibari that honors the past while looking to the future.

As the owner and lead instructor at Shibari Center in Sofia, Bulgaria, I have the privilege of working with a diverse community of students. I lead courses, workshops, and private lessons designed to accommodate all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. My approach is highly tailored; I understand that every student comes with their own interests, goals, and comfort levels. Whether teaching individuals or couples, I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore the art of Shibari at their own pace.

Teaching Across Europe

In addition to my work in Sofia, I also teach extensively across Western Europe, with regular workshops and private sessions in Germany, Belgium, and Spain. Each time I teach in a new location, I adapt my approach to meet the cultural and personal dynamics of my students, recognizing that each region brings its own unique perspectives and experiences to Shibari. My goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere wherever I go, allowing students from different backgrounds to find a common language through the ropes. I am particularly passionate about bringing Shibari to new audiences and helping people across Europe discover the depth and beauty of this art form.

A Unique Teaching Philosophy

What sets my teaching apart is my commitment to deepening the connection between partners through rope. I believe that Shibari is not simply a technical skill but a form of communication that transcends words. In my classes, I encourage students to tune into their partner’s energy, to listen with their hands, and to understand that each movement and knot carries intention. This approach fosters trust, intimacy, and mutual respect, making Shibari an empowering experience for both partners.

A Focus on Safety and Respect

Safety is at the core of my teaching. Shibari requires a strong foundation in both technique and responsibility, and I ensure that my students understand the importance of consent, communication, and respect at every step. I teach my students not only the physical aspects of tying but also how to read their partner’s body language, check for signs of discomfort, and create an environment where both partners feel safe and valued.

A Personalized Experience

In my years of teaching, I’ve worked with a wide variety of students, each with their own unique goals and challenges. Some students come to me to learn the art of Shibari for personal exploration, while others are interested in adding a creative element to their relationships. My classes are designed to be flexible, adapting to each student’s needs, whether they are seeking to master complex techniques, explore new ways to communicate with a partner, or simply experience the meditative flow of tying. I take pride in offering a customized experience that honors each student’s journey.
