Sometimes, we convince ourselves something isn’t possible because we focus too much on one approach. But when we share our work or ideas with others—especially those who are on the same page—we open ourselves up to new possibilities. Their feedback, encouragement, or even excitement can push us to think differently and improve what we’ve created.
For example, I was planning to make a video from a specific angle, and I wanted the camera to be positioned above me. I tried fixing it to one of the walls, but none of my setups worked. Frustrated, I gave up and shot the video from two simpler, more conventional angles instead.
Later, I shared the video with a friend. She suggested adding a shot from above or behind me to make it more dynamic. Her excitement and feedback reignited my motivation to revisit the idea. After our conversation, I looked at the space again and realized I could mount the camera on a different wall—something I hadn’t considered before. It turned out to be much easier, and the result was fantastic.
This experience reminded me how valuable it is to share not just our problems, but also our results with people who understand and support us. Their insights can lead us to breakthroughs we wouldn’t reach on our own. Often, the solutions are already within reach—we just need the right encouragement to see them.
Have you ever faced a challenge where sharing your work or discussing it with someone gave you a new perspective or idea? I’d love to hear about a time when collaboration or feedback helped you discover a solution you hadn’t thought of before. Share your experience in the comments!
